Farmington Musicale presents ‘Musical Potpurri’

The Farmington Musicale, a nonprofit devoted to offering diverse musical programs and supporting young musicians, will present “Musical Potpourri,” a free concert held Sunday, Nov. 12, 2:30 p.m., in the Farmington Community Library Main Library Auditorium, 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills.

The concert blends classical and popular music performed on the piano, violin, clarinet, trumpet as well vocal performances. A Beethoven piano sonata, a Mozart violin concerto, piano four hand arrangements of Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” and Desmonds’s “Take Five”, popular tangos played on a trumpet and Italian songs are all on the program.

Performing are pianists Roy Coloma, Tuhin and Tridib Chakraborty, Matthew Wu and Elaine Vermiglio, baritone Albert Catalan, violinist Aidan Krieger, clarinetist Karen Worthington and trumpet player Antonio Galinato.
