Farmington library board hires Wayne State alum

The Farmington Community Library board on November 14 hired Wayne State University alum Riti Grover as director.

Her first day on the job will be January 2, 2020; she replaces Elyse Streit, who resigned in May.

Grover previously served as Director for the Kanawha County Public Library in West Virginia, and at Ramsey Free Library and Norwood Public Library, both part of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System in New Jersey. She worked her way up from Page to Director at the Norwood Public Library, after earning her Master’s degree in Library Science at Wayne State.

“It is my honor to be working with such an excellent team at FCL,” Grover said in a press release.

Board Trustees considered Grover’s experience a key consideration, said Board President Jim White. “She will be able to lead us into an exciting and challenging future.”
