Farmington Hills to present plan for Harrison High

Farmington Hills city officials will present a plan to repurpose Harrison High School during a Farmington school board workshop held Tuesday, Jan. 9, 6:30 p.m., in the Lewis Schulman Administrative Center, 32500 Shiawassee, Farmington.

The city formally declared its interest in the 240,000-square-foot facility through a letter of intent received during a December 19 school board workshop.

Farmington Public Schools consultant Paul Wills of Plante Moran Cresa said in November that city and school district officials have had “multiple conversations and meetings” regarding lease and purchase scenarios, with title work and an appraisal underway. If trustees formally accept the city’s offer in January, a final vote could come as soon as June of 2018.

The Tuesday meeting, held in the board room, is open to the public.
