Farmington Hills Police sergeant graduates from command school

Farmington Hills Police Sergeant Chad Double graduated in May from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC).

The intensive 10-week program prepares law enforcement managers for senior positions by combining academic principles with practical applications. Specialized courses cover executive management training, human resource administration, and investigation and analysis skills.

Double is an 18-year veteran of the Department. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2018 and currently serves as a supervisor in the Investigative Division. His past assignments include Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Evidence Technician, Firearms Instructor, and Detective specializing in Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, and Cold Case Homicides.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, both from Eastern Michigan University.
