Farmington Hills Police Department welcomes new officers

Farmington Hills Police Department recently welcomed new police officers Breeanna Streber and Christine McKinney, who celebrated with family and friends during a June 29 swearing in ceremony held at the department’s headquarters on 11 Mile Road.

Streber was hired in July 2015 as a Police Service Aide (PSA) and assigned to administrative, clerical, and other duties that did not require full police powers. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University in 2012 and completed the Oakland Police Academy in June 2018.

McKinney earned a Bachelor of Integrated Studies Degree from Oakland University in 2013 and completed the Oakland Police Academy in June 2018. Prior to making the career change, she worked as a cardiac telemetry monitoring technician, accounting manager, and financial manager.

Both officers have been assigned to the Patrol Division of the Operations Bureau, as part of the Field Training program.
