Farmington Hills Police ask for help identifying driver who hit construction worker

Farmington Hills Police issued a statement Tuesday seeking information about an August 27 hit and run crash that injured a construction worker.

According to a press release, the accident happened at 4:30 p.m. in a construction zone on 10 Mile Road just east of Orchard Lake Road. The victim was seriously injured and is still recovering.

The suspect vehicle, described as a burnt orange SUV, headed east on 10 Mile from Orchard Lake, struck the worker, and then continued east on 10 Mile toward Middlebelt Road. The vehicle may be a Ford Escape or Explorer, with damage to the front passenger side.
