Farmington Hills city council members will discuss a property sale, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, and ordinance changes during their regular meeting on Monday, August 13.
The agenda includes:
- a purchase agreement for land at 30790 W. 8 Mile Rd., which has been vacant for more than a decade. The land came to the city through a tax foreclosure and required brownfield remediation. An adjacent property owner wants to purchase the land for its appraised price of $180,000.
- a FOIA request appeal involving Farmington Hills Police Department records requested in July. FHPD denied the request based on privacy concerns.
- a change to the Boards, Commissions and Councils section of the City Code. The amendment would change the name of the Commission to Increase Voter Participation and the purpose of the Farmington Area Arts Commission.
The meeting, which includes time for public comment, gets underway at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. Find the agenda at fhgov.com.
