Farmington Hills offers permanent absent voter list

While new state legislation allows any qualified Michigan voter to receive an absent voter ballot without providing a reason, anyone who plans to vote absentee is required in all elections to fill out an absent voter application.

Farmington Hills residents who wish to automatically receive an application for every election may contact the Farmington Hills City Clerk’s Office at 248-871-2410 or email a request to permlist@fhgov.com, with name, registered address, and a contact number.

Absent Voter Ballot Applications are automatically mailed out to everyone on the permanent list about two months before elections.

Also under the new law, any voter who wishes to have an absent voter ballot sent by first class mail must submit that request by 5 p.m. on the Friday before an election.
