Farmington Hills hires top police academy grad

Farmington Hills Police Department’s newest officer graduated from Washtenaw Police Academy in September, with top academic honors.

Timothy Sjostrom was sworn in on October 18 during a ceremony held at police headquarters on 11 Mile Road. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Washtenaw Community College and is working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Eastern Michigan University. 

Sjostrom has been assigned to the Patrol Division of the Operations Bureau as part of the Field Training program.
