Farmington Hills event features human trafficking documentary

C.A.R.E.S. of Farmington Hills will host a showing of the documentary, Break the Chain, a full-length film about the “hidden-in-plain-sight” issue of human trafficking, on Friday, January 18.

The presentation, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., also includes a one-hour Q & A with producer/director Laura E. Swanson, who is a survivor of rape. The documentary focuses on two Michigan trafficking victims.

Those who attend this public event, held during Human Trafficking Awareness Month, are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the pantry at C.A.R.E.S. (Community. Action. Resources, Empowerment. Services.)
