Farmington Hills officials said Wednesday morning that a precautionary boil water alert issued Monday has been lifted.
The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (WRC) late Monday afternoon issued the notice for the Farmington Hills Southwest Pressure District, located between Eight and Nine Mile Roads and Haggerty and Drake Roads. According to the notice, a loss of pressure triggered precautionary measures due to the risk of bacterial contamination.
Laboratory testing of water samples confirmed that the water is safe to drink.
