Farmington Community Band opens 53rd season with Spooktacular

The Farmington Community Band opens its 53rd season with Spooktacular XXXIII-Mission Impossible, a free concert held Sunday, October 28, 3 p.m., at the Harrison High School Auditorium, 29995 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

Maestro Damien Crutcher begins his 15th season conducting the 90-piece concert band with this -themed Halloween concert for kids (and creatures) of all ages. Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of “tunes & treats”, and kids can show off their Halloween fashions in a costume parade on stage with the band.

The afternoon program will include music from adventure films such as “Mission Impossible”, “King Kong”, “The Incredibles”, and more. Special guest emcees include middle school band students from Farmington Public Schools, and Harrison symphony band students will perform with the FCB Concert Band.

The band’s season continues with “Holiday Panorama” on December 9, “Textures and Tones” on March 3,, and “A Sunday Matinee at Kirk in the Hills” on May 19. To learn more, visit fcbmusic.org.
