Lunch Beats offers free performances by a diverse group of local musicians. All of these performances happen on Wednesdays at noon:

July 3 – Mark Reitenga

Reitenga performs with an energetic, acoustic guitar and smooth vocal style that delivers an intimate vibe. He is also an accomplished songwriter with a large catalogue of original tunes and released his CD “Unsung” in 2016. Learn more at reverbnation.com/markreitenga

July 10 – Maggie McCabe

McCabe is an award-winning musician who has made her mark on the Detroit music scene for over 20 years. Soul, Americana, acoustic rock and blues are all part of a Maggie McCabe show. She will even add in the occasional Celtic song. Learn more on Facebook.

July 17 – Al Carmichael

An accomplished guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, Carmichael scored a #1 country hit with “What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am”, recorded by Lee Roy Parnell and received a Detroit music award for “Best Country Songwriter”. His warmth, humor and love of music bring a heartfelt intimacy to his performance. Learn more at All Things Al.

July 24 – John Latini

This guitar slinging bluesman is a multi-award-winning songwriter and an intense performer. This past December, he was the Grand Prize Winner of the Dallas Songwriting Contest with his song “Pull Me Up” from his celebrated record “The Blues Makes me Feel Alright”. Learn more at johnlatini.com

July 31 – Carly Bins

This 19-year-old singer-songwriter and Northville native has won numerous local competitions due in large part to her solid songwriting and stunning presence stage. She released her first EP, “3 A.M.”, in 2016 and her latest single, “Not Meant to Be”, in 2017. Learn more at carlybins.com.

August 7 – Billy Brandt

Brandt is a multiple-award-winning Detroit area singer songwriter whose roots, folky, psychedelic alt-country background underpins strong songwriting and an adventurous spirit. Be prepared for a genial and musically rewarding show embracing multiple genres. Learn more at billybrandt.com.

August 14 – Sheila Landis & Rick Matle

Landis, a 7-time Detroit Music Awards “Outstanding Jazz Vocalist”, does her most adventurous work in the company of long-time musical partner, 7-string guitarist Rick Matle. Together, they explore swing jazz, blues, Brazilian rhythms, funky pop and their own inventive collaborations, elegant, yet edgy. They have released several CDs of their original and cover tunes. August 21 – Emmanuelle Jacob

A Clarenceville High School graduate, Emmanuelle is currently studying musical theater at Central Michigan University. He is already accomplished songwriter and a fearless singer, accompanying himself on keys. Learn more on Facebook.
