Intelligent Lives

‘Intelligent Lives’ film screening and conversation

Farmington Public Schools Special Education Department, Farmington Youth Assistance, and the Farmington Area PTA Council are hosting a complimentary “Movie Night at the Max” (Maxfield Education Center, large group meeting room) for our community. “Intelligent Lives” was warmly received as one of the featured screenings at the 2019 Greater Farmington Film Festival and we are honored to host an encore screening and community conversation with Janice Fialka, mother of Micah Fialka-Feldman featured in the film.

Janice Fialka, LMSW, ACSW is a nationally-recognized lecturer, author, and advocate on issues related to disability, parent-professional partnerships, inclusion, raising a child with disabilities, sibling issues, and post-secondary education. She is also a parent, poet, a compelling storyteller, an award-winning advocate for families and persons with disabilities, and author of What Matters: Reflections on Disability, Community and Love. https://www.danceofpartnership.com/
