Democratic club presents immigration forum in Farmington Hills

The Farmington/Farmington Hills Democratic Club will on April 8 present a forum with experienced organizers who work among immigrant communities. 

“Immigration & Today’s Society,” held at the Farmington Community Library Main Library in Farmington Hills, will feature the following speakers:

  • Adonis Flores, Michigan United
  • Namira Islam, Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative
  • Rodd Monts, Field Director Michigan ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union)
  • Fatou-Seydi Sarr, African Bureau for Immigration & Social Affairs

Panel members will discuss the issues immigrants face and the campaigns to address concerns, along with providing information about how to help.

The library is located at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd. Doors open at 1:45 p.m.; the forum starts at 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
