Farmington Hills Youth Theatre will shake up its regular spring production in 2019, by offering two very different shows.
Auditions for “Annie, Jr.”, open to students in grades K-6, and “The Addams Family”, for students in grades 4-12, will take place on Saturday, January 12, 12-5 p.m., and on Sunday, January 13, 12-4 p.m., at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage. She eventually finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. “Annie Jr.” will be performed March 29-31, 2019.
In “The Addams Family”, young Wednesday falls in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her kooky parents have never met. Everything will change on the fateful night that her parents host a dinner for this “normal” boyfriend and his parents. “The Addams Family” will be performed April 25-29, 2019.
Auditions are open to both residents and non-residents of Farmington Hills. Participants may drop in any time during the designated hours. Audition materials and other information will be posted at fhgov.com/YouthTheatre.
