Ancient fossils come to Farmington Hills library

The Farmington Community Library will host a display of Fossils from the Michigan Basin created by paleontologist Joe Kchodl from December 1-29 at the Main Library in Farmington Hills.

According to the PaleoJoe website, this exhibit showcases commonly found Devonian through Pennsylvanian fossils of the Michigan Basin, which includes Northern Indiana, Southern Ontario, Northern Ohio, Eastern Illinois and Wisconsin. Creatures such as trilobites, corals, crinoids, gastropods, cephalopods, bryozoans, brachiopods, and even primitive placoderm fish once lived in the ancient tropical seas that dominated the area 350 million years ago.
