Abe Lincoln to visit Farmington Farmers Market

The Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market celebrates the July 4th holiday weekend Saturday with an All-American theme and a visit from Abe and Mary Lincoln.

The day will also include a special rendition of “America the Beautiful”, a petting zoo, a Farmington United Pom Pon performance, and an “instrument zoo” courtesy the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

Detroit area musician Mike Freeman plays on the market stage at 10 a.m. Chef Laura Romito from High Five Salts provides an 11 a.m. chef’s demo on the south bricks of the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion, and the Groves-Walker American Legion Post will be grilling up hot dogs.

Voting continues for WDIV-TV’s “Best of” competition, with the Market hoping to win its third title. You can vote every hour through July 14 at https://www.clickondetroit.com/vote-4-the-best/heres-where-you-can-vote-4-the-best
