Farmington High gets new assistant principal

Tyrone Weeks, formerly a principal and teacher in Ann Arbor Public Schools, has been selected as the new assistant principal at Farmington High School.

He joins Principal Thomas Shelton, who was hired in June, and Assistant Principal Lawrence Stroughter.

Weeks most recently served as Principal/Director of Adult Education in Ann Arbor. He taught English and History in Ann Arbor Public Schools and served as Assistant Principal at Pioneer High School and at Plymouth High School.

Weeks earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Montana, his Michigan Provisional Teaching Certificate from Eastern Michigan University, and his Master of Arts in School Principalship from Central Michigan University. He is also completing his Central Office Certification from Oakland University.
