Warner Mansion Gala offers grand auctions

A strolling dinner, live music, and grand auction items await guests at the August 12 Governor Warner Mansion Gala – but you must purchase a ticket by Friday, August 4 to join in the fun.

County Cork Ireland

Week-long stays for up to four people in either County Cork, Ireland or Historic Williamsburg, Virginia head up the live auction list, which also includes an event with Big Band Theory, a ride in Farmington’s street sweeper, a Model T ride, Capitol tour with State Rep. Christine Greig, a Civil War sword, and a quilt.

Silent auction items range from artwork or framed historic photos, to a porch party on the Mansion grounds or an all-access pass to Farmington celebrations and the Civic Theater. You might even win a ride in this:

Proceeds from the event will go toward restoring the Victorian Italianate home built in 1867 by P. D. Warner, Governor Fred Warner’s father. Sitting on almost three acres, the house is surrounded by gardens. Governor Warner served as the 26th Governor of Michigan from 1905 to 1911.
